What to expect at your appointment with a Critter Control Technician:
Our expert technicians have been working to remove bats around Raleigh, Durham, Chapel Hill and the Triangle for many years. The technicians will perform a complete inspection and then work with you to determine a plan of action to get rid of the bats and clean up any remaining bat guano.
Step One – Complete Bat Inspection.
Our technicians will first speak to you to gather more information. They will evaluate your attic for presence of bats and/or guano. They will also evaluate areas on and near the roof for possible entry points. Possible entry points may include: Louvres, Eaves, Ridge Vents, Exhaust Vents, and Gable gaps. Our technicians are able to use ladders to completely inspect your roof. Technicians may need to investigate other areas where they suspect bats to be.
Step Two – Plan of Action.
After performing the inspection, our technicians will discuss their findings with you. They may be able to show you pictures. Technicians will work with you to determine the best course of action to evict bats. They will work with you to fit your budget and achieve desired end results.
The Bat Removal Process:
After your inspection, you will be contacted by a Critter Control team member to schedule your bat removal. Our team will help you determine if you need to be home and how long the appointment will take. Each process will be custom to your home and your needs. Here are a few examples of what might happen.
Bat Valves Installed – These are one way doors that allow bats to leave your home, yet do not allow them to return.
Exclusion Work – Critter Control Technicians can seal up access points to your home. This will prevent bats from returning. We offer warranties for your peace of mind.
Guano Clean-up – Once the bats are removed, our technicians will clean up guano in your property.
*Keep in mind that bats are protected by law during May, June and July. This means we cannot remove them during this time, but can inspect your home to help prevent them from getting into your living quarters. We can also prevent them from entering new areas on your home prior to August 1. Starting August 1, we can begin getting rid of the bats from your property. You can still call us during the summer to schedule your inspection.
